Through re-thinking the existing building's circulation strategy and closely analysing the structural grid, Alma-nac have inserted 35 dual aspect apartments within this 1960s concrete frame building, each with a South West facing living space and balcony. This tightly set, animated facade naturally led to the an angled balustrade design. This form proved most efficient in simultaneously protecting privacy between adjacent apartments and neighbouring plots and allowing the greatest open views over South East London.
